64. The Real Self
Taking portraits is what I like the most. But what exactly is a portrait? Can a portrait truly depict a person? I am not sure than the complexity of a human face can be just restricted to a photograph. But even if I can capture 1% of it, it will be a huge success.
This is a collage of two photograph, one taken without telling and the other in which she knew that I am taking her photo. I don’t know which one is more close to her but both of them are surely have some differences. What do you think?

I think they are both beautiful. She looks a little pensive in the top photo, like she is trying to either figure something out or she is reflecting on some news that she received and working out how to deal with it.
I like your blurred backgrounds, did you use photoshop?
She smiles every time you try to take her photo, the top photo is an exception in that manner. See this previous portrait photoshoot https://abheysingh.wordpress.com/2012/01/26/25-cute-and-cunning/.
I have used photoshop for ediitng but the background was blurred like this from the photograph itself. Its a 1.8/50mm lens, beacuse of large aperture= shallow depth of field and hence blurred background
Ah, I see your point after reading your previous post. I like the quote you had in there…so true.
Thank you for the info about your lens. I an a total amateur, but trying to learn more as I’m discovering how much I love taking pictures!
