I used this photo to create a graphic artwork. I felt this thought-” The ability to stay silent and just observe with Indifference” so strongly that I couldn’t avoid it. In today’s world, even with democracy it is not people who decide their own actions. Freedom is reduced to dictionaries. People have to do what they are told to do, what is going on for generations. Everything has been calculated and manipulated. I don’t know who is responsible. It’s all so complex. So I just want the power to be able to observe everything without getting too much sentimental about it. To stay silent and just listen and see, because its all I can do 😐
Local trains are said to be the lifeline of Mumbai and after been here for 4 years, now I am sure they truly are. The system carries more than 7.24 million commuters on a daily basis. Here is a composite of two photographs taken during my trips in the Mumbai local trains. lickr link for a better view. Also, you can visit my Tumblr Blog, I found a new theme and it looks really nice now
One with the popular theme of writing a quote in a photograph. Flickr link for high resolution
“Friendship needs no words – it is solitude delivered from the anguish of loneliness”
~Dag Hammarskjold
Inspired from some amazing multiple exposed images, I decided to make something of my own. The above photograph is also the result of nostalgia of passing out. Friends are the most important part of your life and you never forget the moments you spend with them. Go to Flickr for better quality
It was another of those incidents in which photography serves as a medium to interact with people. I went to the SAC grounds to shoot where these children were playing. I dint have to do anything and just point the camera towards them and they all became my friends. I played with them for half an hour and got some awesome photographs. Filckr for much better view
“Ye Mahan Drushya hain,
Chal raha Manushya hain,
Ashru, Sweth, Rakta se Latpat Latpat Latpat..
Agnipath, Agnipath, Agnipath”
~HRB
I played for some time with water and then I thought of making it look like blood. I have edited it a lot. What do you think about this kind of experiments with photography? Flickr for better view
How do you see photography? The proof of reality or a piece of art. With the advent of photoshop and developments in digtal technologies this question has become very prominent. Other than showing the reality photography can also be used to create something from scratch just like Painting. The advantage here is that you can photograph the subject directly, so it appears more closer to real life figures and situations. I don’t have any particular favor for any of the forms and I believe that the importance of anything depends purely on situation and what is needed. Here is a photograph based on the ‘idea of creating art’. Go to Flickr for a better resolution
