Convocation renovation at IITB

Well, the convocation hall of my institute (IITB) is undergoing renovation. Yay! I will receive my graduation degree in the new revamped convocation hall. I went in and around to cover it. As usual, I have tried to show it through people working there.

They called me to take their photograph

Can’t resist taking this kind of photographs

The workers- they seemed to be fighting over some work issue but posing nicely for camera

Preparing to return home after finishing the day’s work

Sunlight was coming from the side, giving an awesome natural rim light

99. Grow Old Together

I went to shoot for the Documentary project I am starting but met a Photojournalist there accidently and spent my entire evening talking with him. Later, I went in search of lights as it was already night, so I went to the gymkhana grounds. I took a lot of photographs there, of children playing, lights etc. but when I saw this frame I knew this is going to be the 99th :).Tomorrow will be the 100th and I have a very special photograph in my mind for it. I am curious to know which kind of my photographs you like the most: the conceptual ones or natural candid shots like this. Do comment 🙂

97. Drowning

Yo! I went inside Powai lake today. I was just wandering around that area to find a good place to shoot and I saw people coming from the side of lake. So I decided to go and take a look. It was such an awesome view. An awesome cool breeze and silence. I decided to make a photograph there. Initially I thought of taking a photograph showing only legs, like somebody is upside down in the lake but it proved too much difficult to do. Even the simple portrait was difficult to take as I don’t have a remote trigger. But Finally I changed the idea and it turned out to be good. I have used expansion to expand this photograph. 96. Colors of Nature

Din’t shoot today, so uploading a photo from a earlier photo-shoot. Its my first try on macro photography. Don’t have much to write today, so its short and colorful today. Enjoy! Flickr link

93. Topsy Turvydom

Wow! This will be one of the milestones for my 365 project. This photo is just what I have imagined it. The color tones, the contrast, the composition, everything is perfect. I know that I am praising my own photo, but that is what I really feel like. Please see on Flickr, its much more crispier there

I am graduated from college with no job, don’t know how I am going to survive in a big city like Mumbai, don’t know how I am going to approach photography. Questions, questions and more questions. I am so tired that I even can’t think anymore. For the first time I am able to express what I am feeling through a photograph. This is the photograph of the background I have used for making this photograph.
