97. Drowning

Yo! I went inside Powai lake today. I was just wandering around that area to find a good place to shoot and I saw people coming from the side of lake. So I decided to go and take a look. It was such an awesome view. An awesome cool breeze and silence. I decided to make a photograph there. Initially I thought of taking a photograph showing only legs, like somebody is upside down in the lake but it proved too much difficult to do. Even the simple portrait was difficult to take as I don’t have a remote trigger. But Finally I changed the idea and it turned out to be good. I have used expansion to expand this photograph. 59. Encumbered Excursion

Another photo-manipulation. I got this idea while watching the cartoon series- One-piece. It took some time before converting to the photograph but yesterday I decided to do it. It involves a lot of editing. I love going in the streets and taking photographs but I think some photo-manipulations in between will be nice :). See on Flickr for better resolution

2. Spirit Bomb

Aim: To depict the theme ‘Spirit Bomb’

Idea: Multiple exposure to give the photograph a surreal feel

This was the trial photograph, just to see what settings we had to use to get the required result.

  •  The idea was that only the hands of the model would move but in this photograph his body was also moving.
  •  The background- trees etc. were distracting.
  •  More stops of hands were required

  • Hand movements increased
  • Model’s body is more or less stable
  • Due to long exposure the tree was very well exposed and was taking the attention away
  • The surreal, spiritual feel was still not dominant

  • Dark background, to avoid distractions
  • Change of costume as previous one was too loose
  • Also some experiments with smoke to give it more of a surreal feel but failed

Final photograph
  • The color version was looking more impactful
  • Some post-processing was done to bring focus on hands and the face
