Framing

I have been noticing “frame inside a frame” a lot these days. Here are some photographs taken within past 1 month. For those who don’t know, frame inside a frame is a useful composition tool used to emphasize your subject  using the surrounding elements.

36. Varmala

Another wedding photograph, it was very difficult to take a clear shot due to the crowd but then I thought of using the crowd to my benefit. So I framed the bride using the people standing there. I also like the  pink feathers of the turban of the bridegroom visible in the corner.

35. Bride

Due to low lights I was not able to take a good photograph of the face, so i decided to focus on other attributes.

34. Weird Indian Traditions

I witnessed some of the weird traditions while at the marriage ceremony of my sister.

1. The bride has to stop the Aunt from drinking the water whose one hand would be on her face.

2. With stoll on her head, the bride is circled around the village while singing traditional songs.

3. A female from bride side stamps an elder from bridegroom side with her handprint.
