140. Footprints

“Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for awhile and leave footprints on our hearts. And we are never, ever the same.”

This horse was just wandering when this boy started sprinkling water on him. Due to the heat the horse stopped and started enjoying this. the Flickr link

97. Drowning

Yo! I went inside Powai lake today. I was just wandering around that area to find a good place to shoot and I saw people coming from the side of lake. So I decided to go and take a look. It was such an awesome view. An awesome cool breeze and silence. I decided to make a photograph there. Initially I thought of taking a photograph showing only legs, like somebody is upside down in the lake but it proved too much difficult to do. Even the simple portrait was difficult to take as I don’t have a remote trigger. But Finally I changed the idea and it turned out to be good. I have used expansion to expand this photograph. 48. Holi Dance

I chose this photograph for its cuteness and candid expression. This child suddenly started dancing out of nowhere. It could have been better by using better light conditions and shallow depth of field to separate the child from the background.

Holi

Holi (Hindi: होली), is a religious spring festival celebrated by Hindus. Holi is also known as festival of Colors. It is played with water, colors and everything else :P. I covered the celebration of Holi in and around IIT this year.

I din’t sleep last night as I was watching a documentary on Photographer Richard Avedon. I will write about him in some other post. Everyone in hostel was sleeping so I went to slums in the institute.
