66. Earth Laughs in Flowers

When I started photography, one of my seniors told me that when you start photography you start with flowers. They are most natural and most beautiful. Portraits are hard to connect to but people can easily connect to flowers.

Also, as I have to spend some time on ‘What I am going to do after graduating in 1 month?’, you will see more of such photographs. Enjoy:)

65. In Search of the Idea

Last night I saw some oil paintings on Tumblr which were painted in the fashion of multiple exposures. From then itself I had a lot of ideas on the use of multiple exposures. In the morning, I went to shoot some Flour shots and end up doing this. Flickr for higher resolution, press ‘L’ to see on black background on Flickr

64. The Real Self

Taking  portraits is what I like the most. But what exactly is a portrait? Can a portrait truly depict a person? I am not sure than the complexity of a human face can be just restricted to a photograph. But even if I can capture 1% of it, it will be a huge success.

This is a collage of two photograph, one taken without telling and the other in which she knew that I am taking her photo. I don’t know which one is more close to her but both of them are surely have some differences. What do you think?

62. Thorns and Roses

I have been seeing this kind of collage making a lot around me so I decided to try a hand on it. It is combining two images to show two sides of a photograph. I know, this is not exactly what is called as photography in the sense of capturing both sides in one frame only. It actually goes in- ‘how you arrange your photographs‘. I like the challenge of combining everything to one frame but I think I will try this kind of combinations also. Go to flickr for a better quality 🙂

61. Autumn

I am working on a lot of photo-manipulations’ ideas. I hope you will like them. On personal side life isn’t going great. I know I want to do photography but I don’t know the way. For better quality go to flickr and press L

60. Cat eyes

Another cat photograph taken during the trip to Hareshwar village. I have improved it a lot in editing. I have tried to give a vintage feel to it. Go to Flickr for better quality. Tell me how you like it

From Depp to Deol

While reading newspaper I came across this article about how Johny Depp has been morphed to Sunny deol for the look of his new hindi Film ‘Bhaiyaji Superhit’. I felt very sad for the standard of photography in India. First they can’t think by themself and even they did get inspired from somewhere, atleast shoot it, don’t just morph it in photoshop:-/.

I decided to show how you can create your own Sunny Deol starting from the Johny Depp photograph of vanity fair.

This is the original Johny Depp photograph.

Use stamp tool to remove the tatoo from the right hand.

Now, make a new layer and paint with red on the sofa, later change the layer mode to Color Burn.

Now with black color paint the jacket with 50% opacity.

Now with light blue color paint the creases on the jacket. Blur them by going to filter>blur>gaussian blur to the amount which feel good. Then use eraser tool to fine touch it.

Now is the time to do color corrections. Open Hue/saturation adjustment layer and change the hue of the jacket to blue and increase the saturation.

Now, we will make our Indian Johny depp. Use the sunny deol photograph and mask the head on the Johny depp head. And congratulations, you are now a national level photographer.
